Eldar Sharon, born in Tel Aviv in 1933, was the son of architect Arieh Sharon. He Studied architecture in the Technion, and between 1958-1965 partnered with Alfred Nuemann and Zvi Hecher. In 1965 he joined his father as a partner in his firm. Eldar Sharon is considered one of the founding fathers of brutalist architecture in Israel, deviating from his fathers’ “international” architecture toward a more expressive, sculptural style. Eldar Sharon passed in Tel Aviv in 1994.
