Tel Aviv Museum of Art
The Tel-Aviv Museum of Art was established in 1932. It initially operated at Dizengoff House on Rothschild Boulevard, and in 1959 was moved to the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion on Tarsat street (planned by Dov Karmi and Ze’ev and Ya’akov Rechter). In 1971, the main building, planned by Dan Eytan and Yitzhak Yashar, was opened on Shaul Hamelech Boulevard. In 2011, the main building was expanded and the new wing, planned by American architect Preston Scott Cohen, was opened. Throughout the years, the museum has displayed several exhibitions on African art and culture.
