Ursula Oelsner was an architect and planner. She was born in 1934 in Germany. In 1930, Oelsner immigrated with her family to the UK and after the war they moved to the US (New Orleans). She studied Architecture in the US and worked in New Orleans as an architect. She then started to work for the UN in Singapore and lived there for three years. During the 1950s she worked in various Greek islands. During the 1960s she came to Israel and worked here, and later moved to the UK.

The 1967 War led her to come back to Israel after a short time in England, where she studied for a master’s degree and started a PhD. From 1967, she lived and worked in Israel. She joined the Ministry of Housing in the 1970’s worked there until her passing in 1998.
