A research conducted by a team headed by Tel-Aviv University sociologist Prof. Rina Shapira who was invited by the IDF and Ministry of Defense to review the “Gadna” activities in three African countries in 1968. This research report discusses the findings of a study on Israeli assistance to youth in Malawi, Togo and Ivory Coast. The study was commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Aid in the Ministry of Defense and the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
