Thousands of Israeli experts traveled to Africa to offer technical assistance in numerous fields, from agriculture to military training, while thousands of Africans came to Israel to study in various courses—many of them offered by the Afro-Asian seminar, established in 1958 by the Histadrut (Israel’s leading organization of trade unions).
